I agree that the rule for eye contact is you usually hold it for three seconds and then you look away. And if they aren't able to hold it for three seconds, then chances are they're not really on the same level with you of how they feel.
What are some deep questions I can ask my girlfriend?
While it can be helpful to work off of a list of questions, I find it's often most effective to deepen your connection with a partner by asking questions that call back to complex subjects they've mentioned before. It's also important to approach these conversations from a place of genuine care, and to give your girlfriend space to talk. Keep it light and keep it fun. Don't go into seduction mode — this could come across really cheesy or too sexual. Try keeping it light and flirty but intelligent at the same time.
