Was the Astronomer fallout justified after the "kiss cam" scandal?
Kristin Cabot, the former head of HR for Astronomer, is not currently married. She and her husband, Andrew Cabot, filed for divorce on August 13, 2025. Kristin Cabot and her boss, CEO of Astronomer, Andy Byron, were caught on Coldplay’s “kiss cam” on July 16, 2025.
However, both Kristin and Andrew Cabot insist that their divorce was well underway before the infamous Coldplay incident. Andrew Cabot told People in a 2025 interview that he and Kristin “were privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert...[the] decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening.”
In an interview with The Times, Kristin said that she and Andy stayed in touch for a little bit after the fallout, but that the two are no longer together. Andy Byron is reportedly still married to his wife, Megan Kerrigan, who dropped the name “Byron” from her social media accounts before deactivating them entirely after the scandal.
Both Kristin Cabot and Andy Byron resigned from their positions at Astronomer after the scandal.
