Yes, New York City's mayor, Zohran Mamdani, is married to animator, illustrator, and ceramist Rama Duwaji. Like Mamdani, Duwaji is Muslim. The two first met in 2021 on the dating app Hinge, got engaged in October 2024, had a private marriage ceremony in Dubai later that year, and were legally married in New York in February 2025.
