What do people assume about furries?

I have friends who are "furries" (sorry I'm using that term) and everyone thinks that anyone who hangs out with a "furry" is one. Everyone also assumes that all "furries" are dogs or cats. What are some things people always seem to assume about "furries" in your experience?

i am a therian. kinda like a furry but i cant get my hands on miterials on masks so i have my animal tail and paper claws cuz im a cat therian i think. everyone that ive told thinks all i do is prance around and drink milk. also, my therian bff, who is a black rabbit one everyone thinks she loves carrots. why do ppl have to be like this??

Hello! I don't entirely understand why you put furry/furries in quotes. I am a furry and contherian myself. But I do get how people do think that whoever hangs out with furries or therians are furries or therians, and tbh it pmo

I’m a furry with the “human tail” abnormality. So some people ask me if my tail is real or not, even though it is part of my body, and I can move it.

I need identity advice HELP
I’m not one myself but I have a close friend who is a therian as Ms she found out in first grade and ever since some of the boys in our year have been calling her a furry since she tried to chase her tail at sports week in third grade. She tried explaining the difference to them but they didn’t listen and it got worse. I love being her friend but they sometimes tease me just for hanging out with her and it’s hard anyone got any ideas how to convince a bunch hormonal teenagers that you and your friends are normal?

Anyone here also a furry and a Therian? I’m looking for friends who understand.
I have been called a monster for years, just because I am/have these four things: the lycanthropy disability, a Therian, a Furry, and an Otherkin. Almost all of my friends have abandoned me because I admitted it.

Am I a Therian?
A few months ago, I found out what therians are. And I related to them in a way. When I was younger (from like 2nd to 4th grade), I would get called a furry because I would bark and run around on all fours and play pretend games where I was an animal during recess. And that was part of what made me question if I'm a therian. I have loved nature for as long as I can remember, and my mom has pictures of me climbing trees, and picking flowers, and rolling around in the dirt. Also, my best friend when I was younger recently told me he is a therian, and a lot of the time we would play animal games together and stuff. still want to do the things I did when I was younger, but I guess I realised that it wasn't normal to do that stuff and I hated the teaseing. I also think I migh be a demitherian bc I'm also at peace with my human identity, but Idk, tell me what you think pls!

I am a therian, and one of my friends found out. What should I do??? D:
So I was talking to a friend, and basically they found out I am a therian (long story lol), but now they are kinda passively judging me. HELP. Also, my parents who definitely don't support me went through my room and I think they found my gear. They have not talked to me about it yet though. My sister also knows (I recently told her) and It went ok! She thinks it's a bit weird but is fine with it. Any advice on my situation? Stay strong my wonderful friends/alterhumans!!!
