Do I need a permit to broadcast radio?

(Note: This is U.S. dependent. There may be different guidelines for your country.) That depends. If it's just short distance, for example to your backyard, you generally don't. To find these, look for transmitters that are Title 47 CFR Part 15 Compliant. A bit of googling should find you some good low-power transmitters that fit this. Otherwise, you do need to get a permit from the FCC.
