    Right click in the autoshape to add text (unfortunately it adds a rectangle and does not follow the autoshape outline). Click on the bullet icon - done.

    There's a half-circle shape in Basic Shapes that you can adjust. It adjusts in arc by dragging on one of the two small, yellow squares, and it adjusts by width by dragging the inside of the semi-circle toward the outside.
