What's considered a big age gap in relationships?

I am 55 and my partner is 28! we have been together for eight years now...I was not comfortable in beginning at the big age difference and she was. And now after eight years together, she is more comfortable than I am. It is a very difficult situation with me now but it is definitely getting hard for me to accept the age difference and she does not. In the past 14 months, we had not one single argument.
