Can anyone help me with my relationship problem?

Can someone tell me what to do, if you have any questions or need more details or updates on what's happening TELL ME please.

So, I have a crush and I really like him so I told a girl that I talk to and she said she would tell him for me, right. Well, so much people tell me not to trust her and that she might not actually be telling him or lying about what she says. So I wrote a letter to him and she took it out my hand and gave it to him because I was hesitant, I've had a crush on him for so long already. So, she gave it to him and I walked off because I didn't want him to see me and she told me that he had tried to throw it away but that his friend got it.

But I didn't see what really happened. Now she's telling me that he wants to ask out a girl and that she thinks it's me, but he hasn't asked her out yet. She is just putting my hopes up so high and I'm scared to have my hopes fall back down because it will hurt, BAD.

She also told me that he called me cute but I don't know if I can trust her. What do I do I'm SO confused AND I'm hurting. I will take anything, criticism and everything else, just please tell me what to do.

DON'T RIZZ HER UP. Kid, no please don't that's not cute that's very cringe, cheesy, and weird. I say just go up to her in your best outfit and speak to her with confidence. Like what could go wrong? She says not? Ok, move on. Trust.

More happened, somewhat. So, I was in after school and his friends went up to me and told me that he liked me and kept trying to pull him towards me, but he said no, that he doesn't like me. Then, not too long ago I dropped off two of my friends for their science class but then when I was walking away I walked right next to him, so close that I almost touched his shirt and he was smiling looking down at the floor but then I walked further away but not too far and I heard his friends kind of like saying, "Oooh" and stuff like that. Kind of like cheering him on or something. What does that mean? and how would I be able to talk to him, he is always with his friends and I don't want to make a conversation awkward.
