How do I make a Subnautica mod?

There's no short way to explain how to make mods, but the basic idea behind it is that we look at the base game code and then rewrite code that intercepts the base game code and does something else. For example, there's a move called "on grab" which triggers whenever the player tries to grab something. If we wanted to stop that from happening, or do something else when the player tries to grab a specific fish, we would intercept that method, check if it's that fish, and then execute our own code, in this case, teleporting the fish if you want to.
