If you want to download and install a web browser extension in Microsoft Edge, it's easy–you'll just need to open the Edge Add-on store, find the extension you need, and click the Get button. If the extension you want isn't available from the Edge Add-on store, you can also download extensions from the Chrome Web Store. Read on to learn how!

Installing Edge Add-ons

Click the Extensions icon in Edge. It's the puzzle piece icon in the toolbar in the upper-right corner of your browser.[1]
- If you don't see this option, click the three dots ••• at the top-right corner of Edge and select Extensions.

Find an extension to install. You can browse the Discover page (the default view) to check out some suggested extensions, or click the Extensions tab at the top to browse by category. If you're looking for a specific extension, you can search for it using the search bar at the top of your browser.

Click an extension to view more information about it. This displays the extension's details page, which usually includes a description, screenshots, reviews, and ratings.

Click the Get button. Edge will display the permissions required to use the extension. Review these permissions to make sure the extension is something you want to install.

Click Add extension to install the extension. This adds the extension to Microsoft Edge.
