    • Use the R1/RB button to scroll to the third tab, which has an image of a skateboard on it.
    • Scroll to the Appearance option in the bottom-right corner.

  3. This will cause your character to do a manual. Don't pull the right stick down fully just yet, as this will cause your character to do a different move.
  4. You'll know you've done it right when you see that your character is T-posing on the skateboard.
  5. To do this, press L1/LB. You'll see the emote wheel open up.
  6. You can do this using the d-pad. Once you choose an emote, your character will shoot up off of their skateboard and begin flying straight up into the sky.
    • If you're having trouble getting the glitch to work, try speeding up how quickly you're doing the motions. It will take a little practice, but eventually you'll be able to complete the motions to do the flying glitch without a second thought.

  1. 1
Did the flying glitch get patched out of the game? No, the flying glitch still appears to be in Skate 4. However, your character must be Height 3 for the glitch to work. If your character is not Height 3, open the menu and change your character's appearance. You can do this at any time.
  2. 2
Why did my camera not follow my character when they started flying? According to Reddit, this can happen sometimes when you initiate the flying glitch. One Reddit user suggests letting go of the right joystick after your character is launched in the air to ensure the camera follows you.[3]
  3. 3
Why does my character not fly very high after doing an emote? According to some users, the longer you hold an emote, the higher you'll fly. If you notice that you're not going very high after releasing the emote, hold the emote for a bit longer, then see if your character can get any more airtime.[4]
    • Alternatively, try a different emote. It seems that some emotes will launch your character farther into the air than others.
  4. 4
How do I stop flying? After you launch your character in the air, set a waypoint on top of a building. You can then respawn your character to the waypoint you created, which will allow you to get on top of tall buildings and other areas you normally wouldn't be able to reach.
  5. 5
What do I do if the glitch doesn't work, no matter what I try? If you can't manage to do the glitch, try closing and re-opening your game. While it may not seem like this would do much, some Reddit users have found that relogging the game allowed them to do the flying glitch.[5]
