Anyone here also a furry and a Therian? I’m looking for friends who understand.

I have been called a monster for years, just because I am/have these four things: the lycanthropy disability, a Therian, a Furry, and an Otherkin. Almost all of my friends have abandoned me because I admitted it.

Therian and Furry

It's actually pretty common to be both a therian and a furry. A lot of therians are also furries, but not a lot of furries are therians. So, if you're looking for therian friends who are also furries, I would look in therian spaces first. Sometimes furries don't understand because they don’t identify as an animal but are just a fan of anthropomorphic animals and fursuits. So to find more friends that are both, I'd start in therian spaces.

I am a furry and a therian! I was a part of the furry community for a while. I have not been very active in it of late, but I still enjoy anthropomorphic animals. I love The Lion King. I have a fursona, and I draw her on occasion. She is basically exactly me, just a lioness with long hair.

I feel so bad you had to go through that! Sometimes your friends might not understand, but if they are making fun of you, get better friends! A few of my friends have called me weird for being a furry, but I know they're just teasing me. One girl started barking at me when I went to the park with a tail on, but I just ignored her.

I'm pretty sure that the lyncanthropy disability when you think your physically an animal (I support as long as it is not harming you/anyone else and not causing problems <3) but I do not have it so you should research it too!

I am a furry! I have definitely been bullied for it. Someone actually ripped my tail off of my skirt, and almost pulled it down in the process. My friends have also faced past harassment for it such as walking in public with their tails on resulting in some random creeps driving by and taking photos of them. Stay safe. We can all be your secret online furry besties!
