How to Play Mobile Legends

Pick a hero that fits your play style. When in a match, select a lane that will help your hero improve their abilities. Destroy minions and turrets as you push your lane forward. The goal is to destroy the enemy's base on the other side of the map.

- Open the App Store or Google Play Store and search “Mobile Legends.” Tap Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and tap Install or GET.
- If you want, you can play Mobile Legends: Bang Bang on PC using an Android emulator, such as BlueStacks.

- Tank: The tank class has high HP and high defenses, making them tough to beat. However, they usually have low attack and low speed. They are usually on the front line leading the attack. They can be useful for crowd control and protecting weaker allies. Tank heroes include: Hylos, Uranus, Akai, Tigreal, Atlas, Gatokaca, Minotaur, Franco, and Belerick.
- Fighter: Fighters have a mix of offensive and defensive capabilities. They are a jack of all trades, but a master of none. Each fighter has a unique blend of attack, defense, HP, and speed. Their abilities often develop slowly over time. Fighter heroes include: Balmond, Bane, Aulus, Badang, Ruby, Leomord, and Guinevere.
- Assassin: Assassins have high attack and high mobility, but low HP. They specialize in targeted attacks that cause significant damage. They are best at ambush attacks, where they get in, attack, and get out quickly. This can be a difficult role for beginners. Assassins include: Natalia, Saber, Helcurt, Matilda, Karina, and Aamon.
- Mage: Mages use magic attacks. They are usually more effective at a distance and cast spells that affect an entire area. They can be effective at crowd control. They usually have lower durability and need protection from stronger teammates. They also need a lot of gold to purchase items that do more damage. Mages include: Gord, Nana, Cyclops, Chang’e, Vexanna, and Aurora.
- Marksman: Marksmen specialize in ranged attacks. They are most effective at a distance. They are not as effective at close range. They can be very useful at taking down turrets. Like mages, they usually have low durability and low mobility. Therefore, they need the protection of stronger teammates. Marksmen heroes include: Clint, Layla, Miya, Karrie, Lesley, Bruno, Claude, and Wanwan.
- Support: Support characters provide aid to their other teammates. This may be healing damage, shielding attacks, or improving the damage of other team attacks. In some cases, it may mean sacrificing yourself for the benefit of your team. Support heroes usually don’t get as many kills, but they help the rest of their team win the match. Support characters include: Angela, Rafaela, Diggie, Kaja, Estes, and Floryn.

Choose your main hero. A player needs someone to have something, so decide who you want to main first! This decision-making skill will be important when you reach Epic in Mobile Legends (Ranked Game).
- If you are new to the game, take advantage of the heroes you get first (AKA Eudora, Alucard, Zillong, Layla, and Miya). Once you get to know someone, choose someone who can meet your needs.
- The possibilities can be endless with your selections! These suggestions aren't all the heroes you can select; you can learn any new hero with ease.

Know the different maps. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has three main maps. They are Sactum Island, Western Expanse, and Imperial Sanctuary. You may also encounter seasonal maps, as well as maps for different modes. Each map is unique and has a different look. It is recommended you start with Sanctum Island.

- Base: Each team has a base where they start. The bases are located on opposite sides of the map.
- Team Sides: The map can be divided into two halves. The half that is closest to your base is your team’s side of the map. This is where all your friendly turrets are placed. The half that’s closest to the enemy base is the enemy’s side of the map. This is where all the enemy turrets are placed.
- Lanes: There are three lanes that lead to the other side of the map. Each lane offers different opportunities for players. The lanes are as follows:
  - Exp Lane: The EXP lane is usually the top lane. This is where heroes can gain the most experience. This for heroes that need to level-up quickly and reach their power spike quickly.
  - Gold Lane: The Gold Lane is usually the bottom lane. This is where heroes can earn more gold to purchase items and increase their stats.
  - Mid Lane: The mid lane goes through the middle of the map. This is the shortest distance to the enemy base. Heroes can use the mid lane to help influence other lanes and roam the map.
- Jungles: The jungles are the areas in between the lanes. Here you’ll find lots of jungle creeps. Heroes use the jungles to farm experience and gold as well as earn buffs. You can also look for ganking opportunities form the jungles. This is also where lords and turtles spawn.

Push your lane! Since the game's goal is to destroy the enemy's base, you should destroy the turrets blocking your way. All turrets have a shield in the game, which will make it harder but can be helpful in any given situation.

Make sure the minions get the damage while you hit it. Without them, you will receive half of the damage for the turrets, and you could execute yourself.

Know how to gank. Ganking is a way to join team fights safely and suddenly. To gank, go to a bush where a fight is occurring. You should then use a skill that can suddenly change the tide of the battle.
- For example, use an initiation skill (Guinevere's 2nd skill or Atlas' ultimate) as a way to surprise the enemies when ganking suddenly.

Communicate! Since teamwork relies on help, tell them if you want them as a backup or to retreat when needed. These controls can be seen at the top-right corner.
- You can also hold to discover Smart Battlefield Messages. It tells them that they are behind/ahead on Gold or to attack the Lord/Turtle.
- Also, you can use Emotes! Emotes are a fun way to express the current situation. You can give a Thumbs-Up to a :P Emote! (Note: You will need to buy them via Diamonds or retrieve them in limited events)

Decide on the Lord. Within 8 minutes of the game (or later, depending on the Turtle), the Sanctuary Lord will spawn in the game. The Lord can be helpful and let you push for the team.
- It's better not to attack the Lord until you wipe out the enemy team or when the enemy is focused on a team fight (or defending the base) that doesn't include you. This is so the enemy team avoids ganking for the last shot.
- When the Lord spawns to assist a team, the Lord will attack a turret that's on the lane once it approaches. Killing the Lord may be strategic; it might be best to hold off the lord until one of your lanes only has the inhibitor turret left.
- The Lord is enhanced at the 18-minute mark, which makes the Lord more powerful with higher HP and attack.

Push for the win! If you manage to wipe your enemy team out, don't go for the creeps right away! Try following your minions and attacking the turrets.
- Remember, killing enemy heroes isn't the objective; destroying the base turret is.

Improving Your Game

Upgrade your Emblems. Emblems are light tune-ups for a hero and can provide you with quick assistance! Try focusing on grabbing Magic Dust from certain events or emblems from achievements.
- You can adjust talents for the emblems that you unlock (you'll unlock new talents for that emblem at Levels 20 and 40). Click on the talent and adjust it to your hero's liking. You can also adjust it by checking the pro setups and by equipping their setup.

Do other game modes. Once you have the hang of Classic mode, try other game modes that can enhance your experience! If you want a quick game, use Brawl Mode. If you're going to discover a fun chess experience, play Magic Chess (requires another app to download to play)

Buy items in the shop. The shop is a great way to increase your collection of heroes and skins. Once you have the hang of newer heroes, try getting another one.
- If you want to be stylish, buy skins for your heroes! Even though it only gives a slight boost to your hero, it will impress your team! (Diamonds are needed to get skins or via limited-time events that can provide them for free, etc.)
