Find Song How to Have a Good Life, According to Experts
We sat down with our team of life coaches for their advice on living a good life...and ensuring a great future. Here's what they had to say:
- Life coach Amber Rosenberg, PCC: Figure out what matters to you. "Clarifying your values will help you discover what's essential in your life. Values are the intangibles that drive us, inspire us, and energize us."[1]
- Academic tutor Jennifer Kaifesh: "Start exploring your interests at a young age and don’t be afraid to try new things: you’ll never know if something excites you if you don’t try it."[2]
- Life coach Taylor Rochestie: Prioritize relationships. "Everybody wants to feel connected, they want to feel loved. They want to feel like they have a purpose. They want to feel like their interactions matter. And so to [do] that [for yourself], you have to make other people matter as well."[3]
- Rochestie: Focus on the journey, not the destination. "People that are successful are focused on progress. And they're focused on the journey and not the outcome."[4]
- Life coach Michelle Shahbazyan, MS, MA: Believe in yourself. "Most people have a lot more ability than they give themselves credit for. And any problem has a solution. So if you're running into anything you feel like is a stressor, that means that it's a problem in your life that you haven't yet found a solution to."[5]
- Shahbazyan: Don't wait for someone to change your life for you. "You can have all the tools that you need in order to succeed, it's just a matter of...getting out of that mindset that someone else is going to figure it out for you or someone else is going to help you with it or hold your hand along the way."[6]
- Rosenberg: Visualize your goals, and "make sure your vision aligns with your values. Also, think about how your vision excites you. If it doesn't scare you a little, or if you already know how to get there, you are probably thinking too small."[7]
