If you're having issues with Roblox, you may want to check for updates. Luckily, this can be done in a few simple steps. If you're playing Roblox on a computer or laptop, it should update automatically when you launch a game to play.[1] On mobile, you'll just need to visit your device's app store. This wikiHow will show you how to manually update Roblox on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
Things You Should Know
- To update on a computer, log into the Roblox website and select a game. Click the "Play" button and then "Open Roblox".
- On mobile, go to the App Store or Google Play Store to update manually.
- If you can't update, turn off any VPN and ensure you have a working internet connection.
Steps
Using a Computer
-
Go to https://www.roblox.com/ in a web browser. This is how you can play Roblox on your Windows or Mac computer.
- If you aren't already logged into your account, enter your username, email, or phone number and password to do so now. You can also create a new account.
-
Open a game page. Click the Discover tab at the top to browse the selection of popular games, such as Roblox's Among Us, Adopt Me!, and more. Clicking a game will redirect you to its page.Advertisement
-
Click the play icon. This is the green button with a play on the right side of the page.[2]
- Your browser will launch Roblox. A dialogue window will open.
-
Click Open Roblox. If you previously checked the box for Always allow www.roblox.com to open links of this type in the associated app, you may not see this option.
-
Wait for the update. If you have an update available, Roblox will automatically update itself.[3] When it's finished, the game will load normally.[4]
Using Android
-
Tap your profile icon. It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
-
Tap Manage apps & device. This is towards the top of the menu.[6]
- With some devices, you may need to tap Details under Updates available.
-
Tap Update next to Roblox. You may need to scroll down to find this. The app will begin updating.
- If you don't see Update, Roblox is already updated to its latest version.
Using iPhone or iPad
-
Tap your Apple ID picture. This will be in the top-right corner of the screen. A pop-up menu will open.[8]
-
Scroll down to view apps. You'll see a list of installed apps underneath Upcoming Automatic Updates.
-
Tap Update next to Roblox. When the app is finished updating, it will disappear from the list.
- If you don't see Update, Roblox is already updated to its latest version.
