Regigigas is a Legendary Pokémon with a Normal type. It was initially introduced in the fourth Pokémon generation, [1] but it can also be caught in a few other Pokémon games, including Pokémon Legends: Arceus.[2] Catching Regigigas can seem challenging, since it is not caught in the same way as other Pokémon in the game. Fortunately, this wikiHow will give you some advice for making catching Regigigas in Pokémon Legends: Arceus easier.
Steps
-
1Complete the main story. This includes watching the credits (after which you should return to Jubilife Village). Once this occurs, you'll want to enter Galaxy Hall, then continue straight ahead into Captain Cyllene's office. Volo should also be there. After a brief section of dialogue, you will then be given a Mission titled "The Researcher of Myths". After this, you'll want to follow the white and black marker on your screen to reach Cogita. To obtain the appropriate mission, talk to her and follow along with the dialogue.[3]
-
2Make sure that you have obtained three specific Plates. In order to access the area where you can catch Regigigas, you will need to have obtained three specific Plates. These are the Iron Plate (which you'll get after you catch Heatran), the Icicle Plate (which you'll get after quelling the frenzied Noble Avalugg), and the Stone Plate (which you'll get after defeating an Alpha Vespiquen in Grueling Grove, as part of the "The Researcher of Myths" Mission mentioned earlier. [6]
- If you have not yet obtained any of these plates, be sure to do so before continuing.

3Include the right Pokémon in your party. Because Regigigas is a Normal-type Pokémon,[7] it is weak to only use Fighting-type moves.[8]
- Unless it is holding a Ring Target (in which case these moves will have a normal level of effectiveness), Regigigas is immune to Ghost-type moves,[9] so be sure to keep that in mind.
-
4Make sure that you have enough Pokéballs. Regigigas has a low Catch Rate,[10] so be sure to bring multiple Ultra Balls with you, in case your first attempt at catching Regigigas is not successful.
-
5Go to Snowpoint Temple. Snowpoint Temple is located in the Alabaster Icelands,[11] which is the last area that you will unlock. Once you've arrived at Snowpoint Temple, go to the large door in the back (follow the white and black marker to find this). You will then briefly talk with Sabi and Adaman. After this, investigate the large door, and you will then put in the three plates mentioned earlier, during a brief cutscene.[12]
-
6Enter battle with Regigigas and weaken its health. Once you encounter Regigigas, there will be another brief cutscene involving Sabi and Adaman. After that, you will then be able to walk up to Regigigas and start your battle. [13]
- Be careful with using moves that poison or burn a Pokémon. If you do choose to use a move like this, make sure to use it quickly, or Regigigas may faint. [14]
-
7Throw a Pokéball. Once Regigigas is weakened enough, throw a Pokéball to try and catch it. While it may take a few tries, you should eventually catch Regigigas.
-
8Use Regigigas in your party, or send it to a box.
