Depending on their privacy settings, you can check someone’s online status on the Roblox web portal or mobile app. There are also experiences that will tell you the last known online status of a Roblox user. This wikiHow article teaches you how to see if someone is online in Roblox.

Enter a user’s username in the search bar at the top.

Go to roblox.com in a web browser. You can use any web browser on your computer.

Log in to your Roblox account, if needed. If you aren’t logged into your Roblox account automatically, you will need to enter the username and password associated with your Roblox account. You’ll also need to follow any CAPTCHA checks to make sure you are a person, and enter the passcode from any 2-factor authentication methods you have set up.

Enter the person’s username in the search bar. It’s at the top of the page. This will display a variety of search options.
- If you can’t remember your friend’s exact username, try to get it as close as you can. It will search for users with similar usernames.
- Alternatively, you can click See all on the right side of the screen across from Connections. This will allow you to see all the people you have recently connected with. Click the tabs at the top of the page to sort your connections by Connections, Following, or Followers.

Click [Username] in People. Click the search option that resembles a person next to your search term. This will search for the username in people.

Check your friend’s online status. It will either say “Online” or “Offline” below the username and profile picture. If they are online, you may see a green or blue icon next to their profile picture.
- If you see an orange icon next to their profile picture, it means they are online in Roblox Studio.

- Alternatively, you can check your most recent connections at the top of the app. To view all your connections, tap the menu icon with three lines (☰) in the upper-left corner. Then tap Connections.

Check if your friend has a green dot next to their name. If they have a green dot next to their name, this means they are online. If they have an orange dot, it means they are online in Roblox Studio.

Go to the “Check a User’s Last Known Online Info” experience. This is an experience you can use to check if a user is online and when they were last online. Go to the experience's official page and click the Play button on the right side.
- You can also find this experience by entering “Check a User’s Last Known Online Info” in the search bar at the top of the Roblox page. Then click the option to search in experiences.

Select if you want to stay in the multiplayer version of the experience. If you want to stay in the multiplayer version, click Stay (Multiplayer) on the screen. If you want to go to a single-player version of the game, click Teleport (Single-Player).
