While Todo hasn’t historically been one of the targeted characters, there have recently been TikTok videos “slandering” him and calling him a “fraud.” Additionally, a derogatory meme about Todo has been circulating, provoking Todo fans into defending him.
- The meme in question depicts Todo in Superman’s outfit, with the caption “Meet ‘Support’ man.” It basically mocks Todo, making him seem weak and overly reliant on other people to win his battles.
- It also reads, “Give me liberty, Give me fire, Give me Yuji to hide behind. Or I retire!” Yuji is the protagonist of JJK; the rhyme implies that Todo spends more time hiding behind Yuji than he does actually fighting.

TikToks calling Todo a “fraud” argue that he isn’t as powerful as he seems. A number of TikTok users and JJK fans have joined the Todo-bashing, saying that he’s a fraud because he never gets into one-on-one fights on-screen. For instance, a TikTok from @axgiuluz is captioned “Fraudo after jumping everyone because he knows he can’t win a fight by himself,” with an animated Todo jumping up and down below.
- In Jujutsu Kaisen, a lot of the show’s main characters have had on-screen fights against pretty powerful foes—whereas Todo has had more of a supporting role in those fights.

The beginning of this video from @frentynova features a different TikTok user arguing, “Todo has done nothing in the whole series other than fight with Yuji. Why would that not make him a fraud?” (Of course, @frentynova then spends the rest of the video defending Todo.)

That’s why the trend is, ultimately, an unserious one; it’s mainly just this “Todo slander” circulating, with fans rallying to defend Todo and list all of his (many) positive attributes in response.

First off, there’s the fact that he is genuinely a very powerful jujutsu sorcerer, despite what a few naysayers argue; he has indisputably taught Yuji some very important jujutsu skills over the course of the series, and he uses his support skills in battle to help other characters achieve victory.^{[2]
