Quick Ways to Zoom in on Microsoft Teams

  • Use Ctrl+= (PC) or Command+= (Mac) to zoom in on the Teams interface.
  • Press Alt+ Shift++ (PC) or Option+ Shift++ (Mac) to zoom in during a meeting.
  • Hold down Ctrl or Command while scrolling to adjust the zoom level.
  • Turn on Zoom or Magnifier in your device’s Accessibility settings.

How to Zoom In and Out on Teams for Windows and Mac

  1. Whether you’re in a text chat or video meeting, look for the ••• icon in the top-right corner of the Teams window. Open the settings and use the + or - buttons to zoom in or zoom out on your current screen.[1]
    • Zooming in and out only changes the size in your Teams window and doesn’t affect what other people see on their screens.
  2. When you’re in a text chat on Teams, use the keyboard shortcuts increase the size of the text and interface on screen.
    • On a Mac, use Command+= to zoom in and Command+- to zoom out.
    • To return the screen to the standard zoom level, press Ctrl+0 on a Windows computer or Command+0 on a Mac.

  3. When you’re in a meeting, the original keyboard shortcut will only increase the interface size. If you want to increase the size of the content being shared, then use this shortcut instead. To zoom out, use Alt+ Shift+-.
    • For Mac, use Option+ Shift++ to zoom in and Option+ Shift+- to zoom out.
    • Press Alt+ Shift+0 on Windows or OptionShift+0 on Mac to return to the original size.
  4. Make sure you have the Teams window selected on your device. Hold down the Ctrl or Command key, and scroll the mouse wheel up to zoom in on the interface or shared content. To zoom back out, hold the key down and scroll down instead.[2]
  5. If you’re on a Windows laptop, put 2 fingers on your touchpad. Spread your fingers apart to zoom in on shared content in Teams, or pinch your fingers together to zoom back out again.[3]
    • MacBook touchpads do not work to control the zoom on Teams, so use one of the other methods above.

How to Zoom In on Teams for iOS and Android

  1. The Teams app doesn’t have any settings for zooming in or out. However, you can still zoom into your screen if you turn on screen magnification.
    • iOS
      • Open Settings → Accessibility → Zoom and turn the Zoom slider on. When you want to zoom in, double-tap the screen with 3 fingers. Drag 3 fingers around the screen to change where you’re zoomed in.[4]
    • Android

  1. Choosing a lower resolution increases the size of text and apps on your screen, while choosing a higher resolution scales your screen down. If you’re still having trouble reading or seeing Teams, go into your settings to change the resolution.
    • Windows
      • Open Settings → System → Display and scroll to the Scale & layout section. Choose the new resolution you want on your computer.[6]
    • Mac
      • Open System Settings and select Displays from the menu on the left. At the top of the window, choose the resolution you want to switch to.[7]
