The Dailymotion website and mobile app do not offer the option to download videos for offline viewing. If you want to download a Dailymotion video to watch offline or keep for later, you'll need to use an online video downloader. In this article, we'll teach you how to download videos from Dailymotion using both the website and the mobile app for Android, iPhone, and iPad.

Downloading Videos from Dailymotion

To download a Dailymotion video, you'll first need to get the video link. You can do this from the address bar, or by clicking or tapping the share button, then by clicking or tapping Copy link or Copy. You can then paste the link into savethevideo.com, which will fetch the video so you can download it to your device.

Start playing a video on Dailymotion. When you find the video you want to download, click it.
- These steps work on your desktop computer or in a mobile browser.
You can either highlight the URL in the address bar and press Ctrl+C (Windows)/⌘ Cmd+C (Mac) to copy it, or you can click the Share button, then Copy link.

Go to savethevideo.com. SaveTheVideo is a download site that lets you download Dailymotion videos with just the URL.
- You can use a different video downloader site if you prefer; most of them work very similarly. However, for the steps, we'll be using SaveTheVideo.
- It's highly recommended to use an ad blocker when using a video download site, as these sites often have many ads that can be malicious. If you don't have an ad blocker, don't click on any ads you see.
In the middle of the SaveTheVideo webpage, you'll see a text box that says "Paste the video link here." Place your cursor in the text box and paste the video link you copied by pressing Ctrl+V (Windows)/⌘ Cmd+V (Mac).

Click Start. It's the black button to the right of the field to paste the video link.
- It will take a few moments for the video to be ready. The bigger the video is, the longer it will take for the website to grab it.
Click the dropdown under "Select Format" and choose an option. You may be able to choose between different file types as well as different resolutions.
Once the video has been grabbed, you can download it. Once again, the bigger the video is, the longer the download will take to prepare.
For example, if you chose to download the video as an MP4, it will say Download MP4.
Use the dialog box that pops up to select where you want the file to be saved, then click Save. If you don't get this dialog box, the video will be saved to your Downloads folder.

Scroll until you find a video you want to download, or use the search bar to find a video.
The share button is on the right-hand side of the screen, and it has an icon of a paper airplane. The button is right below the like button (which has a heart icon).
This will copy the link to the video.

- If you get redirected to another website, don't tap anything; just tap the back button on your browser.

Tap Download [filetype]. For example, if you chose to download the video as an MP4, it will say Download MP4.
- When you tap this button, you may get a pop-up ad in a new tab. Don't tap on anything; simply close the tab.

Tap Download. The video will be saved to your phone's downloads folder.
