Etiquette coach Chiara Riggs Sill suggests familiarizing yourself with the basics of dining etiquette, like how to hold your fork and knife, where to put your water, and how to signal you’re done eating. Take small bites, eat slowly, and don’t lean over your plate or reach across the table. Talk to the people around you, too.
