A Kwikset keypad lock is a convenient way to get in and out of your home without keys, but how do you manage the codes for yourself and your guests? Fortunately, it's easy to change lock codes on your Kwikset lock, especially if you're using a Kwikset smart lock, which you can manage from your phone. Changing a Kwikset Lock Code

For Kwikset Aura and Halo smart locks, you can add, remove, and change lock codes in the Kwikset app.
On SmartCode locks and some other models, you'll need to remove the battery cover to access the program button, which is used to change user lock codes.
You can reset all Kwikset codes, including the mastercode and saved user codes, by performing a factory reset.

Disassemble the lock and check the cable to make sure that it's not pinched or broken. Then, test the lock off the door to make sure it's functioning before you put it back on. If you change the battery, find the cable in working order, and still can't get the lock to work, it's likely because of a digital failure (something circuit-wise has failed). In that case, you'll need to get it swapped out and replaced.
