   Julius Mondragon started the meme with TikTok videos. TikTok user @computahh (originally @okjuskiii), whose real name is Julius Mondragon, started the trend by filming himself approaching random strangers on the streets of Chicago and asking his “computa” to perform random actions.

   • Mondragon films his videos using Ray-Ban camera glasses, so the people in his videos don’t know they’re being filmed.
   • His first “computa” video wasn’t super well-received, probably because it was a little crude and he hadn’t yet developed the upbeat vibes the meme is known best for today. In his later work, his positive vibes really elevate the humor.
   • As Mondragon continued posting videos, other TikTok users began to use the word “computa” in their own videos, leading the meme to go viral.
