Curious about the MBTI for each CORTIS member? We’ve got you covered! The MBTI, or Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, categorizes people into 16 different personality types based on whether they’re more Extraverted or Introverted (E/I), Sensing or Intuition (S/N), Thinking or Feeling (T/F), and Judging or Perceiving (J/P). 1. 1
Martin (마틴) - INFP or ENFP According to Martin, his MBTI fluctuates (and he needs to retake the test when he has time).[1] However, that hasn’t stopped fans from guessing his potential personality types. Many fans suspect he’s either an INFP or an ENFP, with the only difference being extraversion vs. introversion. Both share a deep love for authenticity, creative exploration, and human connection, and are driven by personal ethics and doing what feels right. That said, ENFPs are social and tend to bounce ideas off others, while INFPs process their experiences first and require more alone time to recharge.[2]
    • INFP Strengths: Compassionate, creative, loyal, insightful, open-minded, and empathetic
    • INFP Weaknesses: Self-critical, overly idealistic, impractical, vulnerable to negativity, and taking things personally
    • ENFP Strengths: Curious, perceptive, enthusiastic, easygoing, positive, good-natured, and excellent communicators
    • ENFP Weaknesses: People-pleasing, unfocused, disorganized, restless, overly accommodating, and overly optimistic

James (제임스), Seonghyeon (성현), and Keonho (건호) - INTP This personality type is thoughtful, passionate, and pretty much good at everything, which makes total sense for James, Seonghyeon, and Keonho. Also called “The Logician,” INTP is characterized by introverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving traits. INTPs are flexible thinkers with an insatiable thirst for knowledge (basically, they’re always questioning things and finding creative solutions). They prefer to be alone, which can make them feel a bit disconnected at times, but it’s only because they love to immerse themselves in their thoughts. Overall, they’re creative, innovative, and logical people who aren’t afraid to deviate from the crowd![3]
    • Strengths: Analytical, original, open-minded, curious, and honest
    • Weaknesses: Disconnected, insensitive, dissatisfied, overthinking, and impatient

Juhoon (주훈) - ISFP Juhoon has stated that he’s an ISFP, and we couldn’t agree more![4] Often called “The Adventurer” or “The Artist,” ISFPs are known for being easygoing, empathetic, and observant, with a deep appreciation for aesthetics and hands-on experiences.[5] They usually perform best in roles that let them express their creativity and live in the moment, which is CORTIS to a T. He’s also quieter than the other members (remember when no one knew he had a secret second turtle?!), which totally plays into his introverted side on the MBTI.
    • Strengths: Creative, highly observant, authentic, compassionate, helpful, spontaneous, and adaptable
    • Weaknesses: Sensitive to criticism, conflict-avoidant, indecisive, dislikes rules and structure, difficulty with future planning

About MBTI Personality Types

PDF download Download Article
  1. 1
The MBTI classifies 16 distinct personality types based on 4 categories. Professional coach & business consultant Mindy Kantor says, “The MBTI is based on Carl G. Jung’s theory that seemingly random variations in behavior are quite orderly and consistent, due to fundamental differences in how individuals prefer to use their perception and judgment. This assessment examines four aspects of our personality to capture the fundamental elements of who we are and how we are motivated.” Kantor emphasizes that there’s no “right” or “wrong” type and that they’re all valuable![6]
  2. 2
Use your MBTI to improve relationships and better understand yourself. Kantor says you can apply what you learn about your personality type to numerous areas in your everyday life, including interactions and team dynamics. “In addition to increasing self-awareness, you gain an appreciation for others' differences. Furthermore, you can learn how to capitalize on your strengths and supplement areas that may not come as quickly,” Kantor continues.[8]
