Global flag expert Haitham Kuraishi says many of the flags of the Balkan region use the Pan-Slavic colors blue, red, and white, including Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia. National crests are a common component in the Balkan flags, and several of the flags feature a two-headed eagle, including Albania, Montenegro, and Serbia.
