She was initially scouted at a bus stop before ranking first overall on the girl group survival show R U Next?, which formed ILLIT.

She was a trainee under HYBE Japan before her debut, and her specialty is dancing, though ILLIT doesn’t have official group positions like other groups. She’s the maknae (or youngest member) of the group, and fans view her as an introverted perfectionist with unmatched stage presence. She started dancing at the age of 3 and has a habit of moving her body to a rhythm even when there’s no music playing. She also goes by “Roha” and “Iroppongkopping,” which is a nickname her mom gave her!

She’s also considered the “mood maker,” meaning she sets the mood and makes sure everyone else is having a good time. While she has a fierce, confident appearance, fans and members note that she’s very kindhearted and caring!

She was a former YG Entertainment trainee and is very close to all the BABYMONSTER members. She’s also sweet, introverted, and quietly playful, but is more than what meets the eye. She plays the violin, loves watching horror movies, and loves being in bed (us, too!).

ILLIT is a five-member girl group under Belift Lab (a sub-label of HYBE). According to K-pop fandom expert and video editor Lauren Eusebio, ILLIT was formed through a competition show in Korea (R U Next?), with 5 members in the final lineup. They were really big from the start because of their TikTok-viral debut song “Magnetic,” cute choreography, and pixie dream girl aesthetic, she continues.^{[1]
