Main Characters in Mob Psycho 100

  1. Shigeo, better known as Mob, is the protagonist of Mob Psycho 100. He appears as a reserved and passive middle school student, but that’s just because he’s an extremely powerful esper (aka psychic). If he loses 100% control of his emotions, he releases devastating psychic energy. Mob’s truly a compassionate guy, which is probably how he ends up working as an exorcist for the notorious con man, Reigen.[1]
    • Age: 14
    • Height: 5’2” (158 cm)
    • Birthday: May 12
    • Power(s): Telekinesis, energy absorption, energy transference, astral projection, chlorokinesis (control plants)
    • Voice actor: Setsuo Ito (Japanese); Kyle McCarley and Jason Liebrecht (English)
  2. Reigen is the deuteragonist of Mob Psycho 100. While the orange-haired man touts himself as the “Greatest psychic of the 21st century” and runs a spiritual consultation business, he lacks any supernatural abilities. Instead, his strengths are his incredible manipulation and people skills. When Mob comes to him for help, Reigen realizes he’s the real deal and gets him to work for him. Though he’s slimy, Reigen has a clear moral code and does care for Mob.[2]
    • Age: 28
    • Height: 5’10.5” (179 cm)
    • Birthday: October 10
    • Power(s): None
    • Voice actor: Takahiro Sakurai (Japanese); Chris Niosi (English)

  3. Dimple may have a cute name, but he’s actually an evil spirit (...though we’ll admit his red cheeks are adorable). He’s initially an antagonist who leads the LOL cult, which forces people to laugh. When the playful spirit runs into the emotionless Mob, the two battle and Mob easily defeats him. However, Dimple sticks around on the pretense that he wants to use Mob’s powers to become a god (but it’s clear he really cares for the boy).[3]
    • Age: Unknown
    • Height: Unknown
    • Birthday: Unknown
    • Power(s): Possession, transformation, laser beams, concealing smokescreen
    • Voice actor: Akio Otsuka (Japanese); Michael Sorich (English)
  4. Ritsu is Mob’s younger brother who also attends Salt Middle School. He’s kind, polite, good-looking, intelligent, and a member of the student council. While he seems like he has everything Mob doesn't, Ritsu is jealous of his brother’s abilities and feels like he can never measure up to him. That said, Ritsu does love and admire Mob (and their relationship grows stronger when Ritsu does develop powers of his own).
    • Age: 13
    • Height: 5’2.5” (159 cm)
    • Birthday: July 2
    • Power(s): Telekinesis
    • Voice actor: Miyu Irino (Japanese); Max Mittelman (English)
  5. Teru is a powerful esper and student at Black Vinegar Private Middle School. He’s an egotistical and arrogant boy who looks down on non-espers and uses his psychic powers to rule the school and become popular. When he meets Mob and realizes he’s not the best psychic ever, he’s extremely humbled and turns over a new leaf. The two even eventually become friends (though Teru claims Mob is actually his rival).[4]
    • Age: 14
    • Height: 5’3” (161 cm)
    • Birthday: April 13
    • Power(s): Telekinesis, pyrokinesis, psychic whips and explosions

  6. Sho is another middle schooler and powerful esper. He’s the son of Toichiro, the leader of the villainous Claw organization. However, Sho is against his father’s plans and starts a resistance movement of his own, which is how he meets Mob, Ritsu, and Teru. While serious about his goals, Sho is mostly lighthearted, optimistic, and enthusiastic.

  7. Tome is the leader of the Telepathy Club at Salt Middle School. Despite having no powers of her own, she wants to use telepathy to communicate with aliens. When she tries to recruit Mob to her club, she learns that he’s a real psychic and befriends him. Tome is quirky, loud, and very lazy, so she definitely fits in with the rest of the eccentric cast![5]

    • Height: 5’2.5” (159 cm)
    • Birthday: September 27
    • Power(s): None

  1. Keiji is a famous former psychic and assassin, who died and became an evil spirit after his mother blamed his negativity for her death. While originally a kind and generous man, he becomes bitter and disturbed by human selfishness, eventually using his psychic and spiritual powers to destroy people he views as corrupt. Keiji ends up attacking Mob because, in his own twisted way, he wants to protect Mob from following his path.[6]

  3. Katsuya is one of the Ultimate 5, an elite group of Claw members who serve directly under Toichiro. While he’s a powerful esper, he’s fearful of his own abilities and always anxious about losing control. His lack of self-confidence also means that he’s reserved, reclusive, and very dependent on others. Katsuya is actually very caring, though![8]

    • Height: 5’11” (181 cm)
    • Birthday: March 31
    • Power(s): Telekinesis, exorcism

    • Height: 5’4” (163 cm)
    • Birthday: April 30
    • Power(s): Chlorokinesis
    • Voice actor: Yusuke Kobayashi (Japanese); Khoi Dao (English)
  6. Hatori is also a member of Claw’s elite Ultimate 5. He’s another smug and arrogant character who believes he’s better than others and is proud of his authority. While he’s a strong esper, his abilities don’t help much in physical battles.

    • Power(s): Technokinesis
    • Voice actor: Daiki Hamano (Japanese); Chris Hackney (English)
  7. Ishiguro is part of Claw’s second-highest branch, Scar, and the leader of the 7th Division in Japan. The old man has a heavily scarred face, which he usually hides under a creepy gas mask. He’s another strong esper who believes his powers make him better than others, and has a terrifying violent and sadistic streak.[10]

    • Birthday: July 24
    • Power(s): Telekinesis, curse generation

    • Birthday: November 2
    • Power(s): Telekinesis, psychic barriers, energy bombs

  10. Matsuo is a Scar who belongs to Claw’s 7th Division. He has a unique power in that he can capture evil spirits in a jar and then control them. And while they have cutesy names, like Cookie and Candy, they’re terrifying looking![11]

  1. Tenga is the leader of the delinquents at Salt Middle School. He’s hot-headed and loves to fight, and is proud of his threatening aura. However, he’s really a sensitive good guy who actually cares for school (as he has a perfect attendance record).[12]

    • Birthday: June 6
    • Power(s): None
    • Voice actor: Yoshimasa Hosoya (Japanese); Ray Chase (English)
  2. Musashi is the muscular president of the Body Improvement Club, a club devoted to getting fit and gaining muscle. Despite his intimidating appearance, he’s a kind and fair guy who’s against violence. He even warmly welcomes Mob into the club when Mob decides he wants to join (...so he can appear attractive to his crush, Tsubomi).
    • Age: 15
    • Height: 6’1.5” (187 cm)
    • Birthday: August 23
    • Power(s): None

    • Birthday: September 25
    • Power(s): None
    • Voice actor: Seiichirou Yamashita (Japanese); Bill Rogers (English)
  4. Tsubomi is the beautiful “idol” of Salt Middle School and, more importantly, Mob’s crush. The two were actually childhood friends, and while Mob always tried to impress her with his powers, she got bored with him and they lost touch. Tsubomi is kind and intelligent, though she deeply cares about her appearance and what people think of her. And unknowingly, she drives a lot of Mob’s decisions in the series![13]

    • Birthday: February 7
    • Power(s): None
    • Voice actor: Uki Satake (Japanese); Ryan Bartley (English)

  6. Momozo is a member of the middle school’s Telepathy Club…and he actually has telepathy powers. However, he likes to joke around (as he’s discovered wearing earplugs helps shut out some of the thoughts he hears).
    • Age: 14
    • Height: 5’4.5” (164 cm)
    • Birthday: July 7
    • Power(s): Telepathy
    • Voice actor: Kengo Kawanishi (Japanese); Jon Allen (English)

    • Height: 5’8.5” (174 cm)
    • Birthday: September 15
    • Power(s): None
    • Voice actor: Ryuunosuke Watanuki (Japanese); Anthony Bowling (English)
  8. Shirihiko is another unenthusiastic member of the Telepathy Club. Like Haruto, he’s uninterested in actually contacting aliens, and sometimes finds Tome’s plans troubling. He’s just a laidback guy who wants to play video games.
    • Age: 13
    • Height: 5’9” (176 cm)
    • Birthday: April 11
    • Power(s): None
    • Voice actor: Daiki Hamano (Japanese); Chris Cason (English)
  9. Mameta is, unsurprisingly, another indifferent member of the Telepathy Club, who just attends the club as an excuse to relax and play games. It seems that only Tome is actually involved, as Mameta is also against finding a telepath and communicating with aliens.[15]

    • Height: 5’6” (168 cm)
    • Birthday: April 14
    • Power(s): None
