Are you curious to know the very first thing you listened to after making your Spotify account? Well, now you can find out! To celebrate its 20th year, Spotify released a new feature called “Spotify 20: Your Party of the Year(s).” With this feature, you can see the day you joined, the first song you listened to, and other statistics—including your most-streamed songs and artists. In this guide, we’ll teach you how to use Spotify 20 on your Android, iPhone, or iPad, as well as view other fun listening statistics in the Spotify app!

See Your First Song on Spotify: Quick Steps

You can see the very first song you listened to on Spotify using the Spotify 20: Your Party of the Year(s) feature. Here's how:

Open the Spotify mobile app.
Tap Search and search for “Spotify 20”.
Tap Spotify 20: Party of the Year(s).
Tap Tap to begin.
Scroll through the slides until you reach "Your First Song."

Open the Spotify app and tap the Search tab. Spotify will tell you the first song you ever listened to on the app with its Spotify 20: Party of the Year(s) feature, which was introduced to celebrate Spotify’s 20th anniversary. To access this Spotify 20 feature, tap the Search tab in the app.^{[1]

After your search, you should see the Spotify 20 feature at the top of your results. Just tap on it, and the Spotify app will launch its Spotify 20 experience. There’ll be a brief loading screen, followed by a new screen reading “Please join us for your party of the year(s)”.^{[3]

Select Tap to begin to view your Spotify 20 slideshow. Spotify will launch a personalized “Spotify 20” slideshow that incorporates all of your listening data. Keep moving through the slideshow until you get to the Your First Song page, which tells you the name of the first song you ever listened to on Spotify.
- When viewing the slideshow, tap the NEXT GIFT button to move from one slide to the next.

Well, if you’re curious about your listening history—especially if you’ve been on Spotify for a long time—the Spotify 20 experience can tell you a whole lot about the songs and artists you’ve spent the most time with while using the app. Here’s everything the experience reveals:
- The date you joined Spotify
- Your all-time most-streamed artist on Spotify
- Your all-time top songs on Spotify
- The total number of songs you’ve listened to on Spotify
- The first song you ever streamed on Spotify

Check your Listening Stats to see your top songs periodically. Wondering what your top song of the week (or month) is? There’s another app feature—separate from Spotify 20—that tracks your listening data from week to week! You can see which song you listened to most, which artist you listened to most, and other quick statistics. Here’s how to access the information:
- Open Spotify and tap on your profile image at the top of the screen.
- Tap Listening stats from the menu that appears.
- On the Listening stats screen, you can see your listening history for the last few weeks (starting with the current one).

Save the Spotify 20 playlist to see (and play) your all-time top songs. One of the Spotify 20 features is a generated playlist that compiles your most-listened-to songs, with the number of times you’ve listened to each song also listed. To access it, just tap Save to library on one of the last Spotify 20 slides—the one titled Your ALL-TIME top songs.
- After that, you can find the playlist in your library and listen to it whenever you want! The playlist’s first song is your top song of all time on Spotify.

No, Spotify 20 is an app-only experience. You can’t use it by logging into your Spotify account on a computer; you have to use the app if you want to see your Spotify 20 slideshow. Additionally, you must have the latest version of the Spotify app on your device to use Spotify 20—so if you don’t see it, that could be why. Ensure your Spotify app is fully updated before looking up Spotify 20!
- While you can’t access Spotify 20 from a computer, you can post a share card with your Spotify 20 results to social media. You’ll find the option to do so on the last slide of Spotify 20.
