She starts out as not being gifted with cursed energy (though she's a skilled fighter) and is hated by her clan. Kasumi Miwa may not be a major character in Jujutsu Kaisen, nor one of the show’s strongest sorcerers, but that hasn’t stopped fans from loving her. She’s super modest to the point of being self-deprecating, calling herself “Useless Miwa,” but she’s far from useless—and, more importantly, she’s willing to risk her safety despite being weaker, as sorcerers go. Moreover, Miwa has a sunny presence and can brighten any atmosphere with ease!^{[6]

There are two versions of Rika Orimoto: one is Yuta Okkotsu’s childhood sweetheart, who died tragically young, and the other is an astronomically powerful cursed spirit linked to Yuta through the power of their lingering connection. Yuta inadvertently cursed Rika upon her death, not wanting to let her go—and though he has since helped Rika’s soul pass on, her love for him and desire to protect him live on through the curse still known as “Rika.”

Utahime Iori

She works at Jujutsu High’s Kyoto school and generally appears when she’s looking after the Kyoto students (although her earlier years are seen in the Gojo’s Past arc). Fans appreciate Utahime’s calm demeanor and rationality—especially in contrast to her fierceness when trading verbal jabs with Gojo! The latter loves getting under her skin, and Utahime is always quick to retaliate.^{[7]

Mai Zenin is Maki’s twin, but the two are estranged and resent one another immensely at the start of the show. Mai is easy to dislike, given how cruel and condescending she can be, but there’s a reason for that persona. Like Maki, Mai has been treated awfully by the Zenin Clan. Unlike Maki, Mai opted to accept their harsh rules and demands to live a peaceful life; however, she’s forced to become a sorcerer because of Maki, which is something Mai never wanted.

Shoko Ieiri

Shoko Ieiri is the Tokyo Jujutsu High’s main medic, and she’s one of Gojo’s former classmates; the two still share a friendly working relationship. While she’s a supporting character, she made an impression with her grounded perspective on the jujutsu world—not to mention her obvious competence and skill. No matter how gnarly the situation, Shoko approaches it with an impressively calm (albeit detached) demeanor.

Yuki Tsukumo

There are only four confirmed special-grade sorcerers in Jujutsu Kaisen, and only one of those four—Yuki Tsukumu—is a woman. For a while, the only things fans knew about Yuki were her grade and the fact that she’d mentored Aoi Todo, but her official introduction didn’t disappoint. Yuki is effortlessly cool and proudly non-conformist, refusing to compromise her beliefs (even if that means living outside the rules of jujutsu society).

- Claim to fame: Yuki is surprisingly philosophical and has a unique perspective on how best to protect people; she believes in eradicating cursed energy altogether instead of endlessly defeating curses.

Momo Nishimiya

Momo Nishimiya is one of Kyoto Jujutsu High’s students, and classmates with Mai Zenin and Kasumi Miwa. Although a third-year student, she’s youthful and deceptively “cute” in terms of her appearance and the persona she projects. Underneath that, however, Momo cares a lot about her fellow female students, especially Mai, and has a fierce desire to protect them from the restrictive expectations of jujutsu society.

- Personality: Reserved, arrogant, and protective
- Claim to fame: Momo is more of a “scout” on the battlefield; she can fly on a broomstick and often uses it to get a bird’s eye view of the situation, figuring out where she (and her allies) are most needed.

Akari Nitta

Akari Nitta is one of JJK’s supporting characters and an assistant manager at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Although she’s a non-combatant (meaning she can see cursed spirits, but doesn’t fight them and may not even have much in the way of combat training), she does her utmost to help the sorcerers in their missions. And she clearly cares about her family a great deal, seeing as she primarily took the position of assistant manager to look after her younger brother, Arata.

- Claim to fame: Akari is quick-thinking and great at her job, particularly when she’s acting as a bridge between sorcerers and non-sorcerers.

Tsumiki Fushiguro

Tsumiki Fushiguro is Megumi’s older sister, and pretty much the only member of his family that he had growing up—not to mention a good influence on him. By all accounts, she was an amazing big sister: protective, kind, and gentle. She taught Megumi a lot about life and how to be the best person he could be. And Megumi, in turn, devoted a lot of his energy to saving Tsumiki after she was stricken by a curse.

Mei Mei

Mei Mei is definitely a strange one—but, to her credit, she really doesn’t care what people think of her, anyway. Fans recognize Mei Mei as a complicated and unconventional personality: she’s unapologetically self-interested and greedy, only lifting a finger to help when there’s money involved. She’s also undeniably powerful and has a striking appearance, meaning fans tend to love her or really dislike her!

- Personality: Level-headed, mysterious, and indifferent
- Claim to fame: Mei Mei is a strong grade 1 sorcerer, yet—by her own admission—has an underwhelming technique. That’s because her power comes from her strength of will and skill, not her innate powers (as is the case with many of the best sorcerers).

Hana Kurusu (Angel)

Hana Kurusu is like Yuji in that they’re both vessels. Yuji is uniquely capable of holding Sukuna inside of him, and Hana can contain Angel, a powerful reincarnated sorcerer. But unlike Yuji and Sukuna, who fight for control, Hana and Angel form a partnership; they work together, with Hana agreeing to join the Culling Game so Angel could hunt down the other incarnated players and stop them from hurting others.^{[8]

In fact, she’s pretty “normal”; her connection to the jujutsu world is through her role as a Star Plasma Vessel (a young woman destined to merge with Tengen to guarantee their infinite lifespan). Despite her seemingly predetermined fate, Riko is outspoken and brave; in the end, she chooses her own path…even if her life ends in tragedy.^{[9]

Although they’re rarely seen, Tengen is altruistic and willing to help sorcerers when they need it most.

Mimiko and Nanako Hasaba

It’s two for the price of one—mainly because Mimiko and Nanako are portrayed as highly codependent in Jujutsu Kaisen, and are never seen apart. As inseparable twin sisters, they essentially function as a unit. After being saved and raised by Suguru Geto, the girls definitely have some problematic views about non-sorcerers; still, their devotion to one another and their found family with Geto can’t be denied.

- Personality: Loyal, aloof, and vindictive
- Claim to fame: Mimiko and Nanako’s devotion to Geto is stronger than death itself, as the pair confronted a sorcerer far more powerful than they (Kenjaku) to demand Geto’s body back. In their love for him, they hated that his body was being defiled.

Setsuko Sasaki

Setsuko Sasaki isn’t seen for long in Jujutsu Kaisen, but she still made an impression on fans! She’s one of the first characters seen in JJK, appearing alongside Yuji at their totally mundane high school before Yuji became a sorcerer. Setsuko is a teenage girl with a passion for the supernatural, and she’s a devoted member of the Occult Research Club (which only has three members, including herself and Yuji).

- Personality: Laid-back, curious, and empathetic

Uro Takako

Uro Takako is an incarnated sorcerer brought into the Culling Game by Kenjaku. In her first life, Uro was the powerful leader of the Sun, Moon, and Stars—a cabal of assassins. Enraged by her betrayal at the hands of the Toh (which led to her sacrifice and demise), Uro’s new incarnation is determined to reap success and slaughter during the Culling Game; at the very least, however, she refuses to take down non-combatants for points.^{[10]

She’s also selfish and unrestrained, following her whims without care and disregarding typical formalities in society (including, at times, wearing clothes).

Nagi Yoshino

Finally, there’s Nagi Yoshino—a character with a small role in Jujutsu Kaisen, but who had a strong presence while she lasted. Nagi is Junpei Yoshino’s mother; while Junpei is bullied at school for being “weird,” she appears to support her son’s uniqueness and individuality. She encourages him to be himself and carve his own path in life, giving him a safe space at home to escape the difficulties of his life at school.

- Personality: Unconventional, supportive, and nurturing
- Claim to fame: Fans tend to agree that Nagi is one of the best examples of a parent on Jujutsu Kaisen (and there aren’t many of those, compared to nightmares like the parents in the Zenin Clan).

Nobara is very important early on in the show. Then, I’d say Maki becomes one of the most important characters on the show as she has a great plot line that evolves in Season 3. And then Yuki is another really powerful character that becomes more important further into the show.
