SCP-1128’s description is classified, but it’s said to resemble a giant shark. Written descriptions and photos of SCP-1128 are supposed to be destroyed for the reader’s safety, notes Cook. If he had to guess, however, he thinks that it’s a massive aquatic predator capable of holding a whale in its jaws. Since it’s predatory in nature, it would be advantageous for it to have at least slightly forward-facing eyes and sharp teeth, he adds.^{[2]

The person is fully submerged in a body of water, then teleported into a “redacted part of the Pacific Ocean,” he continues.^{[5]

Avoid contact with water. Most victims of SCP-1128 develop hydrophobia and stay away from water as much as possible. However, because the Aquatic Horror can eventually attack from smaller bodies of water, this is not a long-term solution.
- The Foundation discovered that SCP-1128 does not appear in other liquids, but they note that it would not be possible unless victims bathe and drink exotic chemicals.^{[8]

If you’re unlucky enough to be teleported to the ocean where SCP-1128 lives, try your best to swim up towards the surface. When you come out of the water, you’ll appear back where you first disappeared.
Having any memory of what the Aquatic Horror looks like puts you at risk of being attacked again in the future or infecting other people. The only way to escape is to be pulled out of the water and made to forget the creature exists, according to Cook. He says you can treat exposure to SCP-1128 with Class-C amnestics.^{[9]

SCP-1128 is considered a Euclid-class beast, which means more resources are required to contain it or that any form of containment is unreliable. The only way the Aquatic Horror can attack is when someone learns about its appearance, so attacks can be prevented. However, its ability to teleport a victim from any body of water makes it extremely dangerous.
The SCP has boats stationed around the area to prevent other ships from entering. They have also helped save victims who have been teleported there, though these operations tend to be riskier.

No, all SCPs are fictional stories written by an online community. You don’t have to worry about SCP-1128 appearing and attacking you. The SCP Foundation is a collection of horror stories about scary entities meant to look like a classified government site.
