Many fans were initially shocked that Hollywood actors were joining Infinity Castle. For the English dub of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, Channing Tatum and Rebecca Wang provide the voices of Keizo and Koyuki, respectively. Most fans were surprised that major Hollywood actors were dubbing voices in anime, with many cracking jokes about how Sony/Aniplex could afford them. Here are some fan reactions to the casting announcement:

- One Reddit user writes, “I saw a picture of him and his daughter cosplayed as characters from KNY so this doesn’t surprise me. He must really like the series and he’s got lots of money and influence. So voicing a random background character doesn’t sound like a stretch to me.”
- Since the film’s release on September 12, 2025, most fans have reacted positively to the casting, especially towards Tatum. Another Reddit user shares, “I knew he was in it but I didn't know who it was. It didn't dawn on me until half way through the performance. He was excellent.”

According to some Reddit users, the wounds don’t match Muzan’s fighting style in Nezuko’s fragmented memories. Muzan rarely strikes with single, precise blows, and he usually shreds, tears, and decimates. Each family member gets one clean slash, which aligns more closely with a Nichirin Blade. That suggests that a human, possibly a corrupted Slayer, may have been responsible…

Another fan theory suggests that Nezuko never sees Muzan kill. On Reddit, users continue to explore how her memory only shows Muzan arriving after her family had died. Her fear and trauma likely led her to assume he was the murderer, but she never witnessed him commit the act. This means someone else, probably a human, could have carried out this massacre.^{[4]

In the same Reddit thread, users explain how the Kamado family carries the legacy of Sun Breathing, the original and most powerful swordsmanship style. It’s possible that a paranoid or fearful Slayer, instead of a demon, slaughtered them to get rid of the breathing style’s lineage. This would also explain the neat slash wounds and provide a clear motive.^{[5]

One Reddit user also suggests that when Muzan observes Nezuko surviving sunlight through Hantengu’s memories later on, he’s both shocked and excited. She was the “failed experiment” he thought he discarded years ago, but now she’s alive and doing well. This small detail supports the idea that Muzan was never the direct killer, only an opportunist who recognized potential.^{[6]

Han adds that several of the Japanese voice actors are also well-known, including Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro), who played Keneki in Tokyo Ghoul and 9S in NieR: Automata; Takahiro Sakurai (Giyu), who was the voice of Cloud in Final Fantasy; and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Inosuke), who played Zanka in Gatchaman.^{[8]
